I've started to construct a DAK army, more specifically the 15. Panzer German Schutzen list from North Africa. Since I wanted to bring Rommel along in this army, I figured he needed some support, so I picked up a Honey Armoured Platoon (BBX25) box set.

Panther/Jagdpanther Swappable Hulls Part 2
Well I finished painting up, decaling, and sealing the tanks. Since pictures wouldn't show you how these work, I made a video detailing how they can be swapped out. Forgive the crappy video skills, my 11 year old was helping me:

Panther/Jagdpanther Swappable Hulls
After picking up the Panther/Jagdpanther boxset (GBX84) from Battlefront, I wanted the option to make 10 tanks instead of 5. As there are only 5 lower hull assemblies in the set, I needed to come up with a solution to make the upper hulls swappable. After seeing other people do this, I came up with a relatively simple solution to accomplish this.

Sturm-Infanteriegeschütz 33B
The Sturm-Infanteriegeschütz 33B was a German self-propelled heavy infantry gun used during World War II. A new, fully enclosed, and heavily armored boxy casemate superstructure was built on the chassis of the Sturmgeschütz III. It mounted the improved sIG 33/1 infantry gun, offset to the right side, for which 30 rounds were carried.

Panzer IV/70 Platoon
As of late, I've always steered away from picking this type of platoon in any of my lists due to me not having any of the models. I finally decided to pick up a box of these in hopes of trying them out on the battlefield.

Volksstrum
After several weeks of painting here and there with these guys, I finally finished them. They are now ready to defend Berlin to the bitter end.

Otto Carius in his Jagdtiger
I finished up Carius in his Jagdtiger yesterday. since the sun was out this afternoon, I decided to take some pictures of him and his tank.
This was my first (and second) attempt at hard edge camo.I learned a few things from the first attempt, that I corrected in the subsequent second attempt.

I recently completed painting up my UHU's, and you can see the results below. I'm waiting on the decals I ordered from Dom's Decals to arrive in in the mail and once they arrive I'll add some balkenkreuz to them.

Shattered Battlefields - Review
Now that hockey is winding down for my two boys, I'm finally able to have more time for my hobbies. I'm finally able to pull a few of the gifts I received for Christmas and my birthday out and I'm going to write a few reviews of them.
The gaming group I belong to decided to give the Great War a spin, and since I bought Biltz's Battlegroup, I needed some scenery to go with it. So one of my gifts was the Battlefield in a Box set Shattered Battlefields.
